The XVs are by far the ugliest Jordans made, if you want to take a step into the dark side, i recommend you get some proper Jordans like the IIIs, IVs, Vs (if you like the retro styling) or some XIs or XIIIs if you are more into the newer styled ones.
Be Careful Jordans can get addicting
here is a pic of my collection

| haha, thats crazy collection. Never understood that kinda rabid loyalty to Jordans so as to get that many. A lotta people don't like the XV's but im kinda a fan of them. Regardless, I will probably get the Nike BB II's and ID them from nike's online store, get the sweet color pattern on a great shoe. I only wear basketball shoes for the basketball court and prefer sandals whenever im not on it so i rarely need more than 2 pairs of basketball shoes at a time. Not a big fan of the earlier jordans before VIII, the XXIII are interesting, nice that they're entirely recycled, and rumored to be the last ones in the air jordan line. They're certainly priced that way at $180 for normal edition and $230 i believe for special. |

Yeah, those are probably GREAT to play basketball in. And Jordans are incredibly light, btw. |

| I don't think I ever could be a fan of one particular brand of shoes or clothing. I buy what looks good and is relatively cheap, even if it means I'm buying a new pair of shoes each summer/winter. |

Here are the Jordans that I have played in and where I rank them. I've always been an extremely competitive basketball player and always make my shoe purchases with performance in mind. Overall, I rank Jordans as the best performing shoes I've worn, simply because so many of the models have really clicked with me.
Tied for #1: XXI low and XIV low. I've owned two pairs of both of these and they have been the best Jordans I've ever played in and the 2nd best overall basketball shoe for me. The best being a random Nike Flight circa 2001. Wish I could find that shoe again. :(

Tied for #2: XXI and XII. These two, along with the two listed above, used carbon fiber in the midsole to offer lightweight, sturdy support. These shoes were stiffer than most of the Js that I've played in and I preferred it to the more cushioned, softer midsoles.

#3: IV. Owned two pairs of these (and three of the Flight 89's, one of my all-time favs) as well and appreciate their simplicity. It's a polyurethane midsole which is slighter more dense than the Phylon that Nike also uses. It doesn't breakdown as quickly as the Phylon but it is not as soft and not as light. But again, I prefer the stiffer ride to the better cushioned one; I feel more explosive as I think the shoe responds quicker.

#4: V. Poly midsole again but ranks lower due to high top design, which is not my fave.

#5: XI low. Low top with Phylon midsole. Just a bit too soft for my taste.

#6: XI. Phylon again in a hightop design, so less points.

#7: XVI low. Worst Jordan shoe I've ever bought, worn, played in. I wish I could punch it's face.

Have said all that, I would love to won a pair of IIIs simply for style's sake......but I just don't think I could resist playing in them. :D |

the XVI's were indeed uncomfortable as hell, but when i got them when they first came out as a kid i was thrilled.
when i play basketball these days i wear the red/black/white XIV's :D, love them

Wow I didn't know there were many Jordan enthusiast here.
I've never owned a pair of Jordan's, because my shoe size is 14 and I'm more of an Adidas guy.
Fun Fact: Jordan originally wanted to go with Adidas, but Nike offered him more money lol. |

I don't support child labour....how about send the lazy parents to work instead.
Jordan's were cool in the 90s and they have gone downhill ever since the jordan pumps |

I got my first computer back in 1998, I was 8 years old back then.
There was a demo of some NBA game on a disc from some gaming magazine.
Only game available was Chicago Bulls vs. Utah Jazz.
Oh, the memories. :) |
