| this show was insane, best show i have been to from start to finish, ever, i thought everybody ripped it up, energy was intense, the whole crowd was intense, cant wait for another show like this to come back to chicago, and super amped about minitek now......UNICORN POWER!!:tongue3 |

To preface everything I am about to say, honestly it was a completely epic time. One of those times when the night just seemed to go by in blurs of happiness and getting down. I haven’t danced that much in one night in a LONG time.
Overall I thought the music was pretty good all night. Troy was a little boring and repetitive but that is to expected of him. Magda was the highlight of the night in my opinion. Heartthrob threw down a good set but from what I remember he wasn’t on very long. I saw the first 30 minutes of Richie probably. For that portion he was throwing down pretty hard and the crowd was going ape-.
The venue was pretty cool. I loved the fact that you could go just about any were, upstairs or down and there wasn’t a bunch of roped off VIP areas. The sound was clear and loud both upstairs and down. Now for the biggest complaint of the night:
IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A COUPLE THOUSAND KIDS ROCKEN’ OUT FOR OVER 6 HOURS LET THEM FRICKEN LEAVE TO SMOKE. Seriously, this wasn’t a rock show that lasted 3 hours, we were there from 10:30 until 3:30 and were not allowed to leave or go outside to smoke. I almost got kicked out for eventually try to smoke a quick one but managed to get a few others in without getting the boot. Other people I knew were no that lucky, ing retarded.
I heard Rickie was sitting down at the end of his set, wasn’t really into it and didn’t give the crowd any sort of response from chatting his name and such. I would have been pretty sour if I would have seen that at the end of night personally but we had already left.
All in all, I didn’t have high hopes for this one. The 18 + thing scared me, the fact it was at a concert venue that would attract all sorts of yuppies and suburban people threw me off a bit. But all in all everyone that I encountered was there for the music and to rock out.
I haven’t seen that many people getting down in unison in a VERY long time. People say this type of music isn’t dance music, or that you have to be on drugs, my ass.

best moment of the night - me and mathias smoking in the booth upstairs
i take a drag, pass it to mathias and stand up , security guard walks right by stops and asks me whats up:
- nothing having fun!
mathias drops the cigarette on the floor still lit up LOL
- security guard - you guys smoking here!
- mathias: " what ?! no thats not ours! someone droped it!"

it's much easier if you smoke on the dance floor. just to the bend over to touch your toes and take a drag.
heartthrob was pretty fun, but yeah, he didn't play long at all... and there were two douchebags shouting at him for using a laptop. |

funny for sure, he told me to settle down when i was talking to him, if they only knew how fast i talk on a normal basis, lol |
