OK, I listened to a few of the comments and decided to post direct links to the artist and their tracks. For the few of you who honestly dont know any of these people, or who have never traveled overseas, they are all pretty huge names- over in the UK the hard dance scene is much more popular than the trance scene (they have massives of 100K plus hard dance listeners) - these make up a good portion of the most popular hard dance producers in the world and for the first time they will be coming together in the US.
Along with hard dance is Drum and Bass. John B, Limewax, Dylan, and SPL are very big names in the DnB scene - especially Limewax and John B (although now John B has a very electro feel to him.) The DnB lineup is stacked if you are into that kind of music - but I get the feeling that you arent.
As for the real trance heads - I would suggest you take a listen to Vinylgroover, Organ Donors (who will be doing an all live set), and download a few things from Kevin Energy.
I understand that this music is a bit off from your normal selections - and even if you dont really like it, just get to know the names. Most of these guys are huge outside of the US and when they do come to the US they pull massive crowds from around the US.
So, in no particular order:
Organ Donors (Hard Trance, Hard Dance)
Vinylgroover (Hard House/Trance)
BRISK (UK Hardcore)
Ham (UK Hardcore)
Gammer (UK Hardcore)
MC Whizzkid (UK Hardcore)
Kevin Energy (Hard Trance and UK Hardcore)
S3rl (UK Hardcore)
Stormtrooper
Impact (UK Hardcore, Hard Trance)
Injured Rezz (Uk Hardcore)
D-lyte (Hard Dance)
John B (DnB, Electrostep
Limewax (DnB)
Luna-C (UK and DnB)
SPL (DnB)
Bexxie (DnB)
Dead PA (DnB LIVE) SCUL (Hardstyle) |

when i first started playing records i was all about the UK NRG/Hardhouse and Hardstyle, so i am quite familiar with the big names in that genre, and i have only heard of Organ Donors and Vinylgroover, Neither of which i think were ever the bigger names in that scene. And i thought that scene died off quite some time ago.
The only true hardstyle DJ/Producers that are still on the international circuit that i was aware of were Scot Project and Yoji, Lisa Lashes, and maybe DJ Issacc. I have not seen any others in on the west coast for some time.
Most of the UK NRG/Hardhouse producers that were leading that scene in its hayday(BK, Nick Sentience, Ed Real, Stimulant DJ's, Anne Savage, Tidy boys) have either steered away from that popping UK hardhouse sound or are not playing out anymore internationally. I believe the scene is still somewhat breathing in the UK where it was born, but has fell off the map internationally. |

i would not consider sensation black a complete hardstyle festival, but will awknowlege that if anywhere, hardstyle is still alive in Amsterdam. but when have these names been headliners there?
And this still does not prove that the west coast TA boards are unfamiliar with the international dance scnene and trance happy, i think the regualare here are quite knowledgeable and well rounded in their music tastes |

i am sure that the regulars are fairly well versed in different genres - but anyone who has never heard of a few of these guys : Gammer, Kevin Energy, Impact, Brisk and Ham, Limewax, John B, Organ Donors or Vinylgroover is NOT well versed - as you said - in their respective genres they are or were at one time considered the on here who has said top dogs...anyone here who says they have never heard of ANY of these guys...well....its a lie...or they dont listen to much edm outside of trance or house....
Several of these people have headlined massives here in the US |

Like i said, i have heard of organ donors and vinylgroover, but only twice have i seen organ donors in LA and never have i seen vinylgroover this way. Organ donors Once was at the old vanguard (Qtopia) and there was prob 100 people there. At no point in their career do i recall them headlining massive festivals worldwide. |
