Join me this coming Monday (June 23rd) for the 12th installment of The Progressive Showcase, exclusive to http://www.sense.fm, as we welcome another sterling special guest. This month's guest is Birmingham based DJ/Producer & Magik Muzik recording artist Russell G.
Following years of playing trance Russell quickly established himself, playing gigs alongside some of the scene's leading figures such as Armin van Buuren, Sasha, Seb Fontaine & Tall Paul at promotions such as Godskitchen & Passion. In 2004 Russell’s style evolved to more of a house sound, a move which suited him and has seen him appear at nights including “The Gallery” @ Turnmills, The Honey Club in Brighton and appear on the same billing with legends such as Erick Morillo and many of the current crop of “Nu-Breed” DJ’s such as Mark Knight & Funkagenda. Russell has proven he is more than able to pick the right track for exactly the right time.
Further gigs across Europe in countries such as Ukraine, Sweden & Poland, & with forthcoming dates in France, Morocco & Egypt have cemented Russell's reputation as one of the UK's most promising DJing exports.
Alongside a hectic DJ schedule the last twelve months have seen Russell's production carerr take off. Russell's tracks have featured heavily in the sets of leading names such as Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Deep Dish & Hernan Cattaneo & with forthcoming releases planned on the renowned Magik Muzik label along with previous works on Black Hole, Songbird, Baroque & Whoop Russell's production work is heavily in demand.
Russell's guest mix will be broadcast during hour number two of this weeks show with the opening sixty minutes being catered for by myself. It promises to be an excellent show & I'm very much looking forward to introducing Russell's guest mix.
