Ripping from vinyl...Need HELP

| ok...i've got my mixer hooked up to my comp and everything and i tried ripping it using total recorder but it just doesn't seem to come out right. too much bass, so i fix it. then too much treble and i fix it. is there an easier way. any particular programs out there that is easy to use. |

| are you recording out from the mixer's output or recording out?.. cause the recording out is quieter and make sure all your gains and eq's are set to normal.. try that.. |

When I rip, i just plug in my real cheap but good sounding bush deck into my amp and then into my Live Value. I use MusicMatch 6 to record from the line input at either 256 or 192. Once their in, i play around with it in Cool Edit to get it sounding how i want. The Maxx Bass plugin for direct x works wonders on most tracks..
