| Women's gymnastics has its version of Dara Torres, and she actually medaled in one of the event finals. She was once a teammate of Nastia Liukin's father, and she's probably twice as old as most of the other competitors (maybe 3 times as old as some of the Chinese :p). |

Russians sweep women's singles. On the medals stand, Safina clearly looked disappointed, understandable after coming so close to winning.
Williams sisters win doubles.
It seemed that almost all of the big names got a medal of some sort, which I think is cool. |
