opening rex files in Ableton 7.0??

does anybody know how to open these files via Ableton 7? I used them back in the day when messing around with Reason 3.0 and could open them with Ableton 6, but now it seems I cant get the damn files to open in Ableton 7. A friend of mine can access rex files like cheese but I cant get to them for some reason. I've already contacted Ableton and have posted in the user-friendly forums, but no answer yet and it's been a week.
