Agency charging money to submit demo for contest

Is this the norm? I don't know but having to pay $45 to enter a contest sounds a bit fishy to me.

I've seen companies doing the same with applications/demo's etc. But those always gave a back your money as soon as you showed up. It was just to make sure the people applying where serious.
This organization doesn't give any reimbursement though. Total fail in my opinion. They seem very serious though. The application form has some information on there which could easily be double checked if you know where to look or whom to talk to. I'm quite sure it isn't a con, but 45$ a demo is ridiculous. |
