This Song Makes Me Want to Kiss a Thousand Boys

I burnt a copy of my latest promo mix to CD for an older female co-worker of mine who also babysits younger children part time. She told me on Saturday that she was really digging the mix, but then today when I saw her at work, she said that she was playing the mix for some little girls whom she babysits and then when track seven came on, one of the little girls aged 7 said, "This song makes me want to kiss a thousand boys."
I was trying to remember what track seven was because I didn't remember including any songs with suggestive lyrics or anything sexual sounding whatsoever. It turns out track seven is Jay Lumen - Calypso (Manuel de la Mare Shibuya Remix). This song has no vocals! It's quite minimal but melodic so I'm astounded that this 7 year-old found it "sexual" (if that's the best way to take "kiss a thousand boys").
Crazy. I guess this proves that progressive trance is sexy. Thoughts? |

I just realized this is in my mix, I guess I'll have to distribute it at my local elementary school and see if I get lucky...hahahahahaha

Interesting hypothesis. I say we test this experiment on a much broader scale of kids. You bring the track on cd and a cd player; I'll bring a questionably large butterfly net.
