o.k., even though I probably can't go due to EDC conflict :whip: , I saw this on a flyer for Above & Beyond when I was at Vanguard for Blank & Jones:

Above & Beyond
"Anjunabeats 100 + From Goa To Rio" CD Release Signing Party
Saturday, June 28, 2008, 4 p.m.
Virgin Megastore, Hollywood & Highland

So if you go, tell them that I said "HI," that they were phenomenal at EDC last year, and that I sent you to their signing party! :D

Well at the SF sign and live set event, supposedly "live set" here means that the employees play their CD through the store speaker system.
A&B just had a small corner area where they signed posters, CD's etc.

I dont know why they mention LIVE SET in the poster when they dont intend to do that.???. I woke up early because of that ..heheheh

Tony and Pavo were really cool thgh and they were definitely talkative.

Now that was my SF virgin store experience. maybe they plan on having a live DJ set, but if you are going there just for that, I would suggest calling them and checking them beforehand.

wow thats pretty bad... Ferry and Digitalism (DJ set, not live) at least played at Virgin Megastore in SF. There was a lot of freebies for Digitalism too -- their new CD was on sale for ten bux and you got two free singles.

Yeah, Armin's new CD was $10 also, so maybe A&B will be same...just wish they had done this earlier, like 2 p.m. when Armin was there. Having it at 4 p.m. pretty much kills it for anyone going to EDC and hoping to catch any of the earlier timeslots (e.g. when Menno is rumored to be playing). Personally, I think Menno should come on right before PVD closes the night...last saw him in Berlin (it was a few years ago)...he was so full of energy and INCREDIBLY good! :D

I saw in the main EDC thread that Bamaca will be spinning starting at 5 p.m. If CL has 9-10:30 time slot, all slots are 1 1/2 hour long and Menno comes on after Bamaca as rumored, that would mean Menno would play 6:30 to 8 p.m.

So looks like there's no way I can make the A&B meetup and still catch Menno. :whip:

Of course, there's a lot of "if's" above, and I'd really be surprised if they put Menno on that early. He's at least as good as CL if not better, so should come on after CL imo...
