I wish I had another raptor, i'm running one with a quad core, and it's blazing fast. I could only imagine what it's like in raid. |
The raptor can't even be compared. It is in a league of its own with respect to the ATA world. |

The only downside to the raptor is that it's a little noisy. You can hear it seeking a whole lot. It is incredible, as bad as Vista is, it flies on my machine. |

Vista really isn't bad. People just want the backwards compatibility with that should have been retired long ago. Seriously. I am not saying that there isn't hardware that is new that is unsupported, but that is where MOST of the complaints are. Turn off the graphical eye candy bull and it runs even better! :)
Oh and yeah 15k rpm drives are ALWAYS noisy. |

Mine is a 10k, not a 15k. Not that rich
And Vista doesn't bug me because of lack of driver support, that's not a problem. The problem is their superuser functionality. It's gone about all wrong. I shouldn't have to wait for two different screens to pop up to move a file or run an app |

| Is there anyway you would be looking to get a Raid Array or Stripe with multiple drives? With HDD the larger you go the more unreliable they get. I just don't want to see you with a 1TB paperweight full of important data. |

yea I have 2 other storage drives for music, samples, etc. The raptor drives only run windows, and the applications...all stuff thats easily replaceable in case of failure. Thats the only drawback with raid 0 if one drives goes its all over, lol. I'm after the speed. |
