i finally got fed up with internet explorer (after watching it crash about 100 friggin' times in an hour)and downloaded the opera browser...it's a way better browser than IE...
a couple questions though...can i use cookies in opera or is that just an IE feature? also...how do i go about transfering all of my "favourites" from IE to opera? do i have to do this manually or is there i quicker way of doing it? |

hmm...haven't used that browser before but cookies should be implemented in all browsers these days. if there are any preferences for the opera browser than it should be under that or something like advanced or something.
as for favourites there may be a folder within the opera browser folder. if so then you can just easily copy the bookmarks from the IE folder into that one. :)
hope that helps. peace out. |

yeah opera has cookies... (you wanna be logged into TA forums automatically rite ??! :) )
u can import bookmarks from IE into Opera...(goto the "File" Menu under the "Menu" in the Hotlist window and u will find an option to import bookmarks)
word of caution : u will have problems using the forums thru Opera...sometimes u will not be able to post replies. |

it can handle cgi but its kinda crappy sometimes.
like when u u chek ur rediffmail (www.rediffmail.com)...once u have entered ur username and password and press enter...the inbox will open only in the first window irrespective or where the login page is opened.
i couldnt post replies on some occasions...after hitting submit reply...it jus opened a blank page !! :p
nothing like IE...i think its best suited for forums |

| i use Opera..... but I haven't had any major problems. sometimes when you go on websites, the formatting can be messed up. but I have a pretty old computer so IE just doesn't work for my anymore. it takes forever to open up and i usually surf using multiple windows. yes, you can use cookies in Opera. i think Opera is pretty good if you just surf and don't need extra plugins like Flash or anything like that. Also, all the windows open up in the main window, so it's easier to surf using multiple windows. |

CGI is server-side technology, nothing to do with the browser really. |
