I don't care if you do G...do it all you want, but not on a boat lol
end of discussion.

Would I be over-exaggerating when I say that G, and it's crowd, is what really bring this scene down?

nope.

(tho for the record I'm not saying that our scene is on a downward path)

I've been on 2 cruises now where 2 stupid girls let us all down. "White--in-the-pants-chick" and ""floppy-fish-taken-away-in-water-taxi" I hear the 2nd girls boyfriend went to hospital with her and returned in a taxi. Nice...

I think it's just brought to light (literally) in that we get to see it happening on a boat. There is no escape. Perhaps the security guards need to be checking us a little more closely like at the Docks.. (my hubby had his balls thoroughly checked! lol)

G is a nasty drug. I just think that people are even more foolish to do it on a boat in the sun / heat. Save it for somewhere dark where passing out is an option - ie your bedroom.

DR Trance, funnily enough, said this to me years ago...

"If you can't be safe, be careful"

Funny you mention him since a big part of his ending his 'Effective' parties year ago was the prevalence of G in the scene. IMO it was more widespread 98-2003.

However, I will agree that more attention is drawn to G outs on boats since it's a confined space. I remember one cruise where a guy took a sip from a friend of a friend's bottle thinking it was water and then later blacked out, not remembering he moved his car, and called it in stolen only to find it hours later. Classic.

well that and a "boat G-out" can compromise the actual cruise, it can (and has in the past) forced a boat to dock...

Yea I was on one of those that have turned back (like 20 mins in!) to drop someone off and then we went back out on the water but it was made clear that any more of that and the cruise was finished.

I feel bad when it's someone who doesn't know any better but when it's the usual suspects you'd think they'd have earned their 'badge of honour' by now.

Why can't people just not do drugs?

<---clearly the face of a non-drug user

security does not check girls at all (I've been to one last year and one this year, and last year they vaguely glanced at my bag and waved me in, this year they didn't even do that)
