I have a HP Pavillion DV9000 laptop. My webcam works just fine, the mic just doesn't work. At all.
The laptop was purchased with Vista in place as the OS, but was quickly (manually) converted to XP, because I value my sanity. In the process, it appears that the mic doesn't have any drivers, or something?
I searched for XP drivers, but didn't have much luck, or more to the point, I'm not 100% sure on what I'm looking for. I AM pretty sure, though, that a few folks in the COR could help me realise my failure, and in doing so, could make my mic work!
Help Sushi out? |

| You need to be a bit more specific - there are this many variations in the 9000 series. |

Yeah, you're right, sorry about that :(
Ok:
HP Pavillion DV9550T
Sound stuff seems to be controlled by Realtek, which I'm assuming is just on board . None of the Realtek stuff controls the mic though.
