Eddie does it all really. Some of his CD compilations are more on the progressive side, but hes known to play alot of hard-hitting techtrance tunes, and do crazy stuff like scratching & looping records to make them sound all crazy and tease the crowd.
He might some classics as well like Armin - Communication, or Greece 2000. In which case if youre at the front of the crowd, watch out cuz he might stage dive on top of you lol

What I think they should have done (and this goes for most massives) with Kenetic Field is put Menno or Eddie to close.
Everytime I go to a massive, the crowd always starts to lose the energy during the final set...and people start drifting out of the place so the room gets emptier + ya keep getting ran over by people trying to leave.
My setup would be to have another lesser known (but amazing) DJ (but not a local, for christ's sake) close the night and 1) The headliners will have the crowd at their peak and 2) It helps the DJ who hopefuly deserves to have his name known by people more do just that.
Menno and Eddie are still in "exposure" mode in their careers here. Eddie has played out here quite a few times, but he's still not a known name because he isn't really a producer...mainly just a DJ. That's always going to hurt him. Menno wasn't in the US for a couple years due his Visa issue and has to build a name here too....with that, the artist and their agencies are just happy to get them booked at such a large event...because even if it's only 1/3-1/2 full by the time they get on, that's still thousands up thousands of people who are witnessing them. |
