What else would you expect a confused Cylon to be like? :o

dont joke; thats just the kind of really lame i would expect from the writers of 3-4.

Starbuck is not one of the final five, because when Roslin and the others were stuck on the cylon base ship, the blond Cylon who could see the final five said something like "The last Cylon isn't in your fleet. He is here (on the base ship)."

This is while Kara was still on Galactica.. I still want to know WTF happened to her.. Her ship exploded then 3 months later she returns to Galactica in a spotless jet with a radar that showed the way to earth.

Honestly..If she isn't a cylon then WTF happened? The plot makes no sense unless they try pulling some convoluted time travel twist at the end..

thats annoying me too, but really i think the main problem with season 4 is it hardly explained anything from season 3, and this obsession with "omg who are the final 5/1 cylon(s)?" is really uninteresting. that should never have become a focal point for the series imo.

season 2 was basically perfect imo. it had a tight and well-paced plot. i couldnt tell you what the point was in season 3 or what we've seen thus far in 4.

we were told really early in the series that the creator(s) had a vision and it was planed to be 4 seasons, but it certainly doesn't feel that way :( i dunno, maybe come the end i'll eat my words (hopefully!) but im disappointed.

most of the 'fantasy' component (of which there is quite a lot in 4) comes off pretty poor imo. tacky even.

How did Baltar survive that nuclear blast wave on Caprica?

i have to say the first 2 eps of the second half of season 4 are damned impressive.

i found out why season 3 was sub-standard too.

quote:

According to a statement by Ron Moore in the Season 3 Companion book, the proposed Caprica prequel series will have a story-arc-heavy format like its predecessor; a large reason why the network is reluctant to greenlight the series is because story-arc-heavy series notoriously have difficulty in picking up new viewers, as compared to a series composed of mostly standalone episodes.

This was already the cause of friction between Moore and the Sci-Fi Channel at Caprica's parent series — the first two seasons of Battlestar Galactica were arc-intensive, with detailed attention to internal continuity, but were not pulling in the Nielsen ratings that the network wanted, so the Sci-Fi Channel pressured Moore into retooling the third season of BSG to consist of largely standalone episodes.

This measure actually backfired, as it resulted in negative criticism from both fans and critics, and Moore revealed in the Season 3 finale podcast that the network finally grudgingly admitted that standalone episodes simply do not work in the format of story he is trying to tell.

I've only seen Season 1 on dvd and I think it was too frustrating to venture any further.

its science fiction, you need to cut it some slack ;) but scifi on television gets no better than this.

Maybe not as good as the first two seasons, but I'd hardly go so far as to call it 'average'. Still heaps better than almost everything on TV for the last.... ages, really.

First part of season 4 is pretty ing good though :D I don't watch TV, so I haven't seen any of season 4 part 2 yet.

Yeah, I know, but the quality is never as good as sitting down and watching it on DVD. I dunno, I'm just weird like that

oh yeah. there's no denying that :) glad to know the issues i had with 3 was due to management idiocy rather than creative error from moore though.
