How about POOR people are more adversely affected by natural disasters than others.
And jesus christ this thread is stupid.
The federal response to Katrina was horrible. If you don't agree, you're basically a ing idiot.
The federal response to the current flooding seems to be well under way but time will tell if the mistakes of Katrina are made, though, as Will pointed out, these are two completely different disasters affecting two completely different parts of the country. |

makes things a lot easier when its farms that are flooding, not metropolitan cities.
plus when you have ample time to look upstream and see towns getting flooded, and all that water is coming towards you....vs an instantaneous flood. not saying i don't agree w/ you, but just VERY different scenarios. |
