I used to record some nights on 100.7 Still got tapes kicking around labeled 'rave tapes'.

Used to listen to that with a few buddies back in 2000 in res at UW... wow those were good days and good memories.

we'd just chilling in his dorm room or mine (usually his) and ing pound beers, act crazy, and enjoy great music (some casual busting of moves was even known to happen here or there ;)) lol

i dont know when they went off the air, but I remember cranking my radio to the station as soon as I hit the Canadian border driving in from DC back in '93. They'd play Jam n Spoon, and I seem to remember late night live drum n bass sets.
it was a ridiculously good station.

Yeah I remember listening to Energy 108 as a kid. But if you want to way back, how about when they were on AM 640 or was it 680? Too long ago to remember. I just remember the first day E108 played an 'alternative' song, the day I stopped listening as I knew management was out to change the station.

The group that got me started in EDM:

'Get Ready for This' is still a fav at a lot of sporting events, and still gets my hyped.

Ian and I were talking about old dance tunes that got us into EDM a lil while ago and they definitely came up. I still have their greatest hits album, and I saw them live back in grade 8!

+1

I really miss all the oldskool Toronto radio stations.. Club246 programming on 100.7 FM is horrible imo! it's like everytime I tune in all I hear is the same generic house
