The big problem is the fashionably late crowd. If there is an event this big, people still think they can show up late and everything will be fine. But then everyone else thinks that too, then you get a huge mess.
If you decide to go when it opens, you get no traffic, quick parking very short line and get in just about when it opens. |

It is not in anyway shape or form the "promoters" issue when you get 65k+ E-tarded little children running around like crazy. The party was absolutly nuts! I had a blast and I think insomniac and everyone involved with there parties I give them props. 100+ dj's several top 20 dj's all at one spot in LA on a regular. WTF are you complaining about? $4 dollar water? Go to any club $5 avg. i've been charged that for a 6oz cup of ice. in miami at space it was like $10 bucks for a water. $22 dollar red bull vodkas, 9-10 dollar beers. I bought a round for myself 5-6 friends it was nearly $200 dollar round to the bar!
Cant wait till next time around! |

| everything you described is actually the fault of the venue... security was hired by the venue... vendors were hired by the venue... Insomniac just put on the show... |

We hung out with JC while waiting in line at Tiesto on NYE as the VIP line for drinks was over an hour. |

i don't know why so many grown adults don't get this... yea massives "can" be fun if you have a load of friends with you, but so can drinking cocktails in a kitchen with a cd playing. what is it about a sea of cracked out children and grown men with pacifiers, 90 min sets, and paying too much money for everything that appeals to some 21+ year olds? especially when it means there's better parties with better crowds happening elsewhere that night. |

I'd say we stop complaining and start being appreciative for what we have here in West Coast. Despite bad time slot, long wait in line, costly water/parking, etc etc., I think to an extent we ALL had FUN at EDC!! Just try to have fun!
And no I'm not just jumping into the bandwagon.. I was one of the many that complained a lot about EDC earlier in the week, but I should give InsomniacEvents props for hosting such a massive event like that, that ain't easy u know... |

lol appreciative of what? their desire to make money? it's not because of any single promoter in la that you get a constant stream of big djs coming through. it might have something to do with the 15-some million people who live in the metropolitan area. it allows promoters to throw big parties with big djs and have people line up with money in hand every time regardless of how good or bad the last party was put together. and if the promoter who brings in tiesto/armin/pvd goes away, tiesto/armin/pvd won't simply disappear with them. some one else will gladly step up and make all the money themselves. hell they might even do a better job of it too... |

Anyone reading this and commenting on the topic is fully aware of what comes with a massive. You can predict the entire night months in advance and know what to expect.
In short, there are two things you can do.
1. Dont buy a ticket, and let the event pass you by...
OR
2. Buy your ticket and cope with the craziness at the event... no need for complaining... you already knew what you were getting into!
EVERY damm year it's the same thing... bitching and moaning about how crowded it was. It's a ing "MASSIVE", what do you expect?
I don't mean to be an ass, but after your first massive experience, you should know the deal! Stay home and chill.
These parties are going to keep going strong... and believe me, your word is being heard, but unfortunately no one important is listening. |
