I went this year. Best festival I have ever been to.
And I've been to:
Sensation, DanceValley, Coachella, Ibiza multiple times
Kazantip:
- cheap booze and food inside and outside the event
- very little talk or use of drugs (but not zero)
- lots of stages to check out all the time every day and night for a month. Mix of russian/ukrainian djs (who are actually decent) and international talent. Often djs come and play multiple sets (sometimes not announced) at different stages. Lots of afterparties
- lots of nudity (mostly female, sometimes male)
- no signs of beastiality haha
- nice beach and overall relaxing and happy place to be!
- the girls will try their best to speak english, and are very friendly.
- Just don't get caught taking a piss on the grounds or the military will kick you out. You have to pay 25cents and wait in line to piss in the half-ass washrooms
- the town that the event is looks almost war torn (but don't worry you won't barely see it. The ride from the airport is kinda freaky as well
Oh ya and on the last friday I was there I saw Digweed, Hernan C, and Nick Warren all play one after the other on a huge stage with pyro, dancing girls and crazy lasers, so I don't think you can call their lineups weak anymore
Marco V closed down the party the next day with a nice fireworks show too |

| snowcat, are you Russian/eastern blockish by any chance? I left Russia in '96 at the age of 13. I am unsure of how friendly this festival is to foreigners, but unless the military/security has a hush hush policy of leaving the foreigners alone, it could be a very easy way to get into a heap load of with the locals, and/or the local mob/"military", if you do decide on having all out fun. |

| When is this thing? I have 5 weeks to kill next year for a cousins wedding in Cyprus and want to do Eastern EU to make up for the last 2 mos, I want payback and to party proper. (as in a crazy realy insane party festival...). Went to sensation white, sonar 2x, berlin love week etc, I want more. |

Every gathering known to man should be judged on the potential to get STDs. That being said this sounds like an 8.5/10 and thus a very good event.
In all seriousness though this sounds like a festival that used to be hardcore and more of a local thing but now more mainstream and international. Question is, 3 years later can people speaking just English go and be alright? Or is this a Euro version of Mexico City and my family can expect to get a severed finger and an invoice for my release? |

| i just got back from ukraine. One of the nicest eastern bloc countries ive been to. Was in kiev and felt safe and never had problems. Very nice people there as well! |

never had a doubt. But the idea that its a backwards eastern bloc backwater is simply not true at least when it comes to kiev and the surrounding oblast.
I felt very safe and the people were great as i expected. cant wait to go back! |
