one time i remember a producer told me something ill never forget, i think i should pass it on here... (only it was in hebrew) - "compressor is the difference betwin people on the floor dancing or not" and that was in 2003 when loudness wars wasnt that wide spread...
point is your track sounds flat, no puncheyness whatsoever IMO... that said lets move on to other aspects...
the synths sound really thin and simple to me, the kick doesnt fit in that nicely and doesn't go too low...
the break is nice but not "OMG I Crapped my pants!!!" if you know what i mean :) try and make yourself all over when producing a new track :)
thats my opinion and views on this track and in general :) |

| It sounds quite bad...is it ment to be as a timetrip track back to the 90's? You definitey need to put some life in those sounds.. ;) |

ok. so i need to liven up the sounds. I can use a compressor, and what other things can i do to make it sound more professional? Its great hearing feedback on what people think but i would like to improve and i might need a lil help figuring out what i have to do. Thanks a lot

Hmmm... I actually quite like these tracks.
What I would say is that the major thing that stands out is not so much your production techniques as they are not bad at all. But rather the complexity of your tracks.
Whilst you have some great ideas, they are a little on the empty side.
The percussion lacks drive and could benefit from being a bit more complex. I would also perhaps make the basslines a bit more interesting. Admittedly this would change the feel of the track and might not be what you are after.
They do sound a bit retro but hey... retro is cool too. Some of the best trance was written in the 90s.
Listened to all of them and found that Mused was probably my overall favourite.
I think you might also want to make your transitions more interesting as they are very much, beat stops.. and standard drum roll and then resume at the moment. Filter, delay etc. to create real energy.
Permanova sounds little to Psy inspired for my tastes. But musically your ideas come together very nicely.
Cheers
