| You'll get a different definition depending on who you talk to. It is usually referring to equality of some sort...equal rights..equal opportunities, etc. Most of the time unfortunately it is used to fight for government programs that reward some at the expense of others...taxing one group to subsidize another, using quota systems to get a certain percentage of minorities employed in different businesses, etc. From what I've seen, people using the term "social justice" usually refer to it as an effort to achieve equality of outcome, rather than equality under the law. The two ideas are mutually exclusive. |
