I'm not much of an FB snob but I just don't see the reason behind the hate. I can understand MySpace being a waste of space.
Methinks you're jumping on the "hate what's cool" bandwagon believing that that, in itself, is cool. |
Uh...no.
I've never been into "social networking" sites - they are the biggest waste of space on earth.
If I want to speak to someone, I'll pick up the phone.
If I want them to see some pictures, I'll email them.
Additionally, what is the point of letting people you hardly know into every facet of your life?
Invariably, that's what ends up happening, even if people don't want it to.
I will concede one thing: these sites are good for sending group invitations to parties etc, though this could also be done by email just as easily. |

These are nothing but opinions and personal preferences. It does not in any way show why you believe the website is "" and will "always remain that way".

Negatory, good buddy. You can set just how much certain people can see using your settings nowadays. This can be done in a matter of minutes and will be a load of many peoples' minds. |

Now people will have to sort for hundreds of thousands of Tricias to find you... granted they even know what you look like. And even then, you gotta add them for them to see. Haha.

Applications will always be there, I guess we'll just have to clinch our teeth and constantly hit ignore. What I'd really like to do is ignore the people sending the invites:gsmile: :wtf: |
That's why I find the new "block this user from sending apps" feature so useful. Only a handful of my friends are addicted to that . |

I'm sure people hated the telephone when it was first available, they probably preferred to send telegraphs. |

That comment feature has been on for two weeks now and I've yet to see someone use it. What's there to comment anyway.
The thing I hate most about facebook is that it reliably reminds you of what you did last night partying. Be it through tags on pathetic ed up photos, dubious friend requests or teasing wall entries. Sometimes I wake up on a Sunday noon crossig my fingers in fear that no new albums have been upped. |
