Ok so i'm planning on buying one of these in the near future... thing is i also plan to upgrade my 800's to 1000's and i can't afford both. My main priority would be the Virus TI so does anybody know where i can purchase cheap ones? Uk Shipping needs to be available also! Thanks in advance for any suggestions :D

Get one imported from USA, try Ebay

ebay? also - if you want to save money, buy the rack, not the keyboard. you can get a $100 midi keyboard that will do the same exact thing, or you can pay an extra 300 bucks just to have that keyboard on the virus TI directly.

also - may i ask why you're upgrading your cdj's from 800 to 1000? I'm actually looking to purchase pioneer cdj's at the moment, but i want to start out with the 200's just to try them out. I'm wondering if i'm missing anything essential or important by not purchasing the more recent pioneer models...

Finer pitch resolution and wave form map. 800's and 1000's aren't really much different from each other. Personally i would go for the 800's instead of the 200's. Your getting a good bit more for your bucks. Cheers for the answer by the way man. I might acctually go for just a Polar now though...still need to decide.

i thought both 200 & 800 have .02 pitch resolution at the +/-6% setting?

I'm not sure what the 200 has but the 1000's have better than the 800. I forget precisely what it is though

800's only have 10% and 100% pitch. No 6%.

I've been looking for cheap Virus Ti's in the uk too...no luck though :(

I don't think the upgrade from the 800's to the 1000's is worth it. I done it not so long ago and haven't had much benefit. You could easily use the 1000's in a club with only owning the 800's

I agree depending on the situation. If this is for DJ'ing at home in your bedroom, who cares. If you're roading these players out to gigs, clubs, parties, etc... go for it.

The difference is in the accuracy of the newer models. It's true though.
I think mostly that it's a mental thing, CDJ1000's are the standards (just like the technics are for turntable's).

If I where you, I'd get the 800's instead of the 200's. The 200's are excellent to, but the 800's give you a more turntable feeling (the 1000's even more). But if you never played with turntables, it really doesn't matter!
