Loading Patches

I downloaded lots of patches for my VSTs (in this example Synth1) in .fxb and .sy1 format (my host is Cubasesx3), on the VST I click load Bank or Load instrument and nothing loads, what am I doing wrong?
In other VST's this works fine... |

| fxbs typically need to be loaded thru your sequencer 'vst load button' and .sy1's etc need to be loaded directly by the synth. |

If I remember correctly, Synth1 (*.sy1) banks need to be placed in its own folder within your VST-plugins folder
e.g. C:\Program Files\IN Synth1 and not your sequencer's load thingie. A pop-up appears and from the left you can select one of the 9 banks in which you placed the files.
