aurora is a usb powered multichannel mixer in a typical dj form factor. the device features two linear channel faders, a single a/b crossfader and eight backlit buttons. twenty four backlit knobs allow you to control effects. aurora, unlike most midi controllers, enhances performances with controllable ambient lighting. aurora easily integrates with your favorite midi compatible software.

| Interesting concept. I like the lighting effect - Cool but impractical. |

Where are the fader ends?
I like the open souce idea but with only two channels...I think that really limits its practicality. |

| they should have made it modular - the flexibilty would be the major advantage but it is negated by the limitation of the hardware conifguration. Nicely made though.... |

I think it's poorly labeled.
It's an open source MIDI CONTROLLER, not DJ mixer.
Most of the work for the project is on the backend software. |

The software will allow to configure it so it will send midi but on their site they call it a DJ mixer?
The software available for download indicates it is for various control information. |
