Yes, but that's because they always make movies based only on games that are popular as opposed to games that have good plots. Ex; Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Doom, etc. If there is ANY game that would translate really well into a movie, it's Max Payne.

Meh, they've ed up plenty of games with decent plots and/or rich source material too i.e. Alone in the Dark, RE, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, and Hitman.
All of those could have been good, and all of them were actually terrible.
