I only have one lethal allergy (allergy to rodents), and I don't carry an Epi-pen. I probably should, but doctors have agreed that the likelihood of my running into a rodent is slim to none, and the cost to get a new Epi-pen every time it expires is insane.
However, with that being said, I have actually self-taught how to perform a tracheotomy on myself. I figure, if I am dying, and the only way to survive is to stab myself in the neck... I will do it. I have also made attempts to teach the people who are close to me how to do it, just in case.
I would rather die knowing I had made an attempt to survive than to just passively lay there and let myself be suffocated. |
