I gotta admit, I liked Baja and Journey of the Dragons (I've never heard Acid Eiffel).

They didn't make me 'tear-up', but it was an enlightening journey. It's all a matter of taste, you have a stronger ear for progressive, hypnotic tuneage.

It's the ultimate. Period.

You've given me some classical I haven't heard before. If only more of it could get more progressive and hypnotic, who would need edm? :o
josh rising
kristine blond - love shy (electrique boutique mix)
the green martian - wizardry
dead can dance - the host of seraphim
trinity hi fi - turn the lights down (dave london mix)
hemstock & jennings - crimson soil

Rachmaninov: Prelude in B minor, Op. 32, No. 10

This is stunning. I'm listening to a crackling, staticy version played by Benno Moiseiwitsch right now on Tube.

I've actually found my fair share of hypnotic, lush, modern, string-y classical maybe teetering on the edge of "IDM". But it's too precious to give away :(

Yvonne Elliman - If I Can't Have You :)

I love when music can do that to me, though.

I always find it kind of amazing that music can have such powerful emotional effects across languages and cultures.

+1

It is just beautiful.

Claude Debussy - Clair de Lune

Any rendition that is nothing short of superb always brings a tear or two. Most beautiful piece of music ever.
