Hey Producers!
Judging from the popularity of the similar thread showing pictures of your home studio, i thought it would be a good idea to get people to post screenshots of their finished tracks. As a relatively new producer i always find it interesting to not just hear a tune, but visually see how it was created as well. Hope you agree and post away. |

its hard to catch a "how ive done it" picture cos sequencers have a lot of parts in them, such as mixer, fxs, synths... so what are you suggesting? maybe just the arrangement window? |

Agreed... a simple screenshot doesn't tell you anything.
Videos with notes or commentary, maybe. |

Yeah i was thinking maybe the arrangement screen or mixer. I think it could be quite informative as for example there are many topics on here about weather to compress the kick before or after eq, levels of the kick in relation to other instruments, layers used for the synths, etc. A visual representation of this can sometimes help clarify things. |

I don't think this screenshot will clarify much at all, but here's the arrange view of one of my finished tracks:

I don't know how much you can learn from a screenshot, but I do find it interesting to see pictures of other people's finished arrangements.

I know exactly what your looking for.
But the problem is asking for screenshots in programs you don't have.
I use FL and even if I saw a screenshot in it - it would mean nothing. So I go to the Fl forums and get the actual FLP files so I can go into the project and see what the artist did.
Seeing a screenshot will do nothing for you, if you have the file for the application though its a totally different story. |
