I saw Aquaviva using this Saturday at Ilume...Anyone know what it is..
it was hooked up to his PC. |

it's a turntable hooked up to your computer , you can play your mp3s and control them in the same time just like if u had them on vinyl |

| It ables you to play MP3's just like if you were playing trax on a turn table. An MP3 player with a pitch kind of thing... You don't need to cary tones of records anymore, just your laptop. Richi Hawtin uses it alot. His new cd was produce with that tool, I think. |

ive been there twice..and got in because i knew people who work in the rest. scene on st laurent...ive never tried getting in on my own..
especially not on the weekend
correct me if im wrong...but final skratch was invented by ritchie hawtin and plus 8 recordings (is that the name of his label?) |

i will correct you ;) i have the remix magazine where this stuff comes out.
final scratch was developed by Amsterdam's N2IT Development, supposedly the brother? of aquaviva got ahold of a beta copy and then hawtings got interested but he didn't used cause it had too much latency? ro somehting like that but then he helped the company getting int better and well he and aquaviva got the first releases of the final release.
now it's used byt many like hawtins, aquaviva, chris cowie,Kevin Saunderson and even hip hop-drum and bass dj, dj craze.

Ilume is a regular club, wicked sound and very intimate. The owner spins there a lot of the times and it sucks when he's there however when they get a good DJ the place is rockin. Very hard to get in unless your on Guest List or you go with hot chicks who dress well.
Lafleche spins there every thursday and the place is usally rockin. if you ever want to check it out PM me and I can hook you up on Guest list of give you free passes..except I have no connections on Saturday nights. later |
