I think women who showed their midriff in the nineties were cool. I think those same women who are STILL showing their midriff are just stuck in the nineties and have no fashion sense. Belly tops are soooo tacky and more popular now with young rebellious girls. Once you pass a certain age (like 19), those girls should realize that wearing them makes them look like a whore...

I personally think there is a time and a place for most outfits. The time to wear a belly top is if you're ripped (and have a hot stomach which you probably worked hard for) and only in a club...if it looks hot sure why not!
Otherwise in any other scenario ugh! |

People have been complaining about muffin tops since the belly shirt first made its introduction over a decade ago. Aside from those, I don't really see the problem - if someone's worked countless hours to get perfectly or nearly flat abs, why shouldn't she show it off?
It pretty much goes without saying that no matter what fashion they come up with, there will be people wearing it who shouldn't be wearing it. |
