Hey Guys,
I have never really been into music production but a relative bought me Reason 4 as a gift. I have only had it for a month and find it pretty easy to use but hard to master. Anyway I quickly put this House track together today during lunch. Tell me what you think. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Haha, Thanks. What do you think I should work on the most? (ie. how to eq, piano, melody design, etc.) I am a complete noob but how do I get better. It's not like lifting weights where you get bigger by eating and lifting. If I just "mess around" I don't think I will get any better. So what should a noob like me work on?

Hard to really judge the quailty of the sound on that one cos the utube player sounds liek ass but it really just one pretty generic sounding sunth line and a simple drum beat. Theres not really much too it. Its an ok start, ideaa for a track but sounds just like what it is, knocked up in no time. Post at least a 128 mp3 for a crique on the sound qaulity :)

a more proper mixing would do much with this tune, also learn your effects and what works, it's a cool beat but try to make it sound really good with some compression over the different instruments and equing... you just need to learn bit by bit... and i think that playing around really is improving, but thats the main things i found lacking in your beat...
