How Come? (well, it depends on the teacher) it was pretty much talking your way out of (into) intellectual/philosophical/worldly discussions, no?

Well, not to me. I enjoyed and participated avidly (when i could) esoteric conversations are my thing.

I had a friend who grew up doing the IB program, but then went to a plain public school. I found his descriptions of IB kind of interesting.
