Anyone ever played on these? I have a couple of gigs coming up where the place has these tables and have never used them. How different are they from CDJ800/1000?

Not very different. Just don't use the platter to correct your track. Use the + and - buttons to speed up and slow down.

I had heard that the platter on those doesn't respond the way CDJ's do when adjusting a track.

No, they spin like the Technics decks. Just use the platter to cue to the first beat, hit the cue button, then when you hit play...speed up and slow down to match with the + and - buttons.

You'll be OK.

They suck. They will be way different than what you are use to. I use to own a pair and sold them to get my 1000's.

Take the ty plastic "record" off of them as soon as you get there and just use the platter to adjust. It will be way different because it is moving, but it works better than using the vinyl.

The vinyl they put on there sits like a normal record, but the spindle is ultra sensitive and is what really messes people up.

They FKN suck. i would use one first or at least know how to operate it. track selection and everything is different on it. also or less you know how to ride the pitch when mixing dont be to hard on your self if you dont have a perfect set using them. .02
