So I want to start planning a trip for next summer to go to Ibiza but am not prepared and don't want to get ripped off. I'm just trying to find out from people who have been before. The best time to go, best airline to take, and the best place to stay or best part of the island? Any input would be much appreciated!!

This is probably the most used Ibiza site.

http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/

Also, it may come out cheaper to fly somewhere to Europe and then take a flight with www.vueling.com to Ibiza (beware of kilo restrictions)

Best thing you could probably do is save $$$ til then. Dollar is weak...and Red Bulls cost 15 euros @ Amnesia. Shot of bottles water cost 10 euros @ Space (check out a currency converter to see what it adds up to!)
At least they don't cuss you out if you don't tip. They actually get surprised if you do.

RyanAir is also another good budget airline in the EU. €20 to fly anywhere in western europe.

Think Vueling lets you take 20 kilos and Ryan lets you take 15. After that...you get taxed!

Yeah it is 15 for Ryan. I dunno about Vueling though.

Ibiza-Spotlight and Spotlight-Forums.com are excellent resources to plan your trip to the Island.

A few tips for when you get here.

1. Stay in Playa den Bossa over San Antontio or anyplace else. San Antonio is really a dump that caters to liquored up blue collar Brits seeking to escape England on a budget. There are many moderately priced hotels in Playa den Bossa. Look for Jet Apartments on the Spotlight web site. If you're coming with a couple of friends you can easily split the bill a few ways.

2. Its recommended that you rent a car (again quite inexpensive if split among several people). It will make getting around the Island much simpler. If you decide not to rent one, you will still be able to get to most of the clubs relatively easily since you can cab or bus your way to all of the relevant clubs around the Island.
