Here in NYC for 3 months from Vegas... any advice on what's (where's) good? Just noticed M.I.K.E. at LOVE, anything else?

definitely check out Love while you're here... I have family out in vegas, doesn't seem to be much of an ETM scene out there, sadly...

I agree... vegas music scene sucks. It's either a DJ doing his best to please all the tourists from middle america that aren't happy unless they hear a journey/jay-z mash-up, or a big namer playing to the TMZ crowd.

Of shows I would put in my top ten none happened in Vegas. Either Miami, NYC, or LA. Oh well, looking forward to MIKE and PVD in a month. Oh, and hopefully get to Deadmau5 on friday.

Thanks for the tips,
Mason

Not in the same 6 months I'm sure. It's pretty rare and I did ALOT of digging. Maybe some small underground venues here and there but nothing worth leaving NYC about, if you're that into the rave scene.

LOL, scoops, you may not realize this but every venue you mentioned, with the exception of RAIN, is now closed. Utopia was turned into Empire (which was my favorite spot), but even THAT just closed under mysterious circumstances.

Not saying there aren't any good acts, or even good shows... just saying that for the most part the crowds are weak. I'm a huge Junkie XL fan (I realize this puts me in the minority on these boards) and I went to a well-publicized performance of his where, I'm not kidding you, maybe 15 other people showed up. DURING A MUSIC CONFERENCE! To his credit, he played as if the crowd was irrelevant.
