I have a friend who once handed in some math homework written in ink on papyrus. |
haha...did the teacher accept it? Some of mine would not accept any homework unless it was on this particular paper, and in a certain color ink for written classes and pencil only in math. Anal teachers ftl. |

I used to exchange letters regularly with a Ukrainian friend of mine, and I sometime send postcards... but I gave up on writing letters because no one replies any more unless you send them an e-mail :( | WHAT? Send them this way, mang.
I remember in elementary school when we had pen pals my letters were always the jazziest.:o |

They're math profs, they're probably used to receiving homework written on napkins. |

| I only do for business related things... usually thanking someone for something. I could email but the hand written , as much as I don't like doing it, goes a long way |

If you look at it that way of course... but I view letters as a small gift from someone you enjoy now. It's not meant nowadays to be solely for communciation. It's just amusing to me to have a physical copy of someone's thought of you, in their handwriting, surviving potentially forever. Consider me emo, but that's just how I feel. |
:toothless
Actually, I feel the same way. For some reason the thought of a stack of letters from my friends and family is a lot more interesting and enticing than the thought of a full e-mail inbox.
Too bad none of my friends or family actually send letters anymore. |

| I use real mail quite a bit, but it's never hand written -- no one but me would be able to read that anyway. |
