Interesting track, and I can see where you were influenced for sure.
Perhaps a little too uneventful for my tastes.
Transitions can benefit from a lot more work as there is no real creation of energy in this.
Melody isn't that memorable either but that might not have been your intention.
Not sure if it's the MP3 conversion, my headphones or the track itself, but you have some serious clipping issues in the middle. Which is strange as the track volume itself is quite low.
You might want to bring down the channel faders to prevent the clip, then mastering, do the usual compression eq etc. and instead of using 1 limiter, use two but make sure that they are not working as hard as you normally would. This will allow you to bring up the volume and avoid clipping.
A few mix down issue, perhaps more down to personal preference etc. but I would like to hear a crisper, punchier mix.
Just my thoughts.
