sending tunes to labels

Is it ok to send one of your tunes to more than one label at a time? Or should you wait until your tune is rejected by a label before you send it to another one?

p.s. when you send demos to small/ digital labels, should you still send the full version? or just snippets? |

always the full version, decent mp3 quality.
only ever send links to tune, do not email the entire tune as attachment
Most of the time, you won't get a rejection, you'll just never hear from them.
I would suggest sending it to a few labels at a time. If you've heard nothing after 7-10 days, then they probably aren't interested so then send it to a few more and so on and so on.
Spend some time compiling a list of labels you think might be interested, then you could start with the best ones and work you're way down.
Don't get disheartened if you hear nothing. Keep making tracks, you'll get there in the end.
Use the search function on this forum. Search label or labels in subject title, search from a few years ago. There will be a number of similar threads with lots of helpful info. |
