Gave both these tracks a listen.
I take it you are quite new to this.
Your own track is definately the stronger of the two.
The sounds you use in the tracks require much more thought as to how you put them together though as they sounds very basic, dry and could benefit from more diversity.
As it stands I have to say that your remix of Nalin & Kane's beach ball sounds like you have just got the midi and replaced it with some stock samples. No offence intended.
In terms of percussion, the tracks a very stompy and could benefit from some better use of hi hats and indeed clap/snare sounds.
Pop over to the KVR forums and get yourself some free VSTs that will give your sound a revamp. You will be glad you did.
I would also recomend that you start checking out the Tutorials in the production forum and also try experimenting with effects.
Thank you for sharing, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
All the best

Yeah i am pretty new to this, and like i stated on the vid it was my first real attempt to create anything...
i had messed about with things before just to see what most things did
i spent the most time on my track that is more than likely why it sounds stronger :)
as for the remix it was all done on memory with no midi and after it was done i compared it to the original to give me some scope on what i was doing wrong...
I realised how flat it sounded but i thought i would post it anyway to get feedback
me personally i thought the remix sounded a little better arranged :)
i will check out KVR and some of the tutorials...thanks for the advice :D |

No worries,
What software are you using by the way? Might be able to assist.
And good on you for going from memory on Beachball.
Cheers
