Long Point is the greatest beach in Ontario, bar none.

crystal beach was always a fun time -- it gets pretty rammed with teens and 20-somethings throwing frisbees and getting drunk off of alcohol hidden in plastic bottles during the summer. nice beach when it's not crammed

grand bend was by far the nicest [local] beach I've ever been to. I've never seen it busy and it's usually pretty clean too

Grand Bend is the nicest beach I've been to in Ontario. It's pretty far, but worth an overnight trip for sure.

tobermory - about 2 hours west. great rock-jumping, scubadiving and snorkling. water is cold though and waves are terrific.

killbear - about 3.5 hours north-west by parry sound. my personal favourite place. has a zillion islands that you can swim/canoe/boat to, several (4-5) good sized sandy beaches, as well as several large rock beaches and tonnes of good rock-jumping, especially off of harolds point or scott island. love this place
