question about "Shoot Em Up"

ok for those of you who have seen this movie, do you think that clive owen and the other actors in it thought (at the time they were making the movie) that this is a cool movie or do you think that they knew at the time that this was pure cheese?
i had this discussion with someone about another movie [tango and cash]. i believe that at the time of the movie stallone and russell thought that this was a PURE ACTION PACKED MOVIE that was "cool" and that they were the sh!t. i dont believe that they thought it was cheese at the time. in todays society anyone that watches it im sure would think that its a pure 80's cheese flick.
im curious to know what some of you think :) |

That wasn't the question. The question was whether the actors felt it was cheesy while filming and promoting the film.
I think we're already clear on a general consensus that it wasn't thought provoking. |

When the cast read the script I think that they thought it was going to be the next blockbuster just like Vincent Chase did with Medellian. After filming for a few days the actors/tres's probably noticed how dumb the script was but had to pull through with it.
The moral of the story is that this movie was the pure definition of CHEESE but Monica Bellucci is still my future wife.

| it wasnt pure cheese. the grindhouse movies were and they were awesome b/c of it. this is a lil over the top action movie, its awesome though. i love how he kills guys with a carrot to the eye lol. |
