A hidden hoard of recordings made by the electronic music pioneer behind the Doctor Who theme has been revealed - including a dance track 20 years ahead of its time.
yeah, pretty far ahead of its time. reminds me of a lot of 90's broken techno trax.

amazing!

A rather nice piece, I admit. The final version of Blue Veils and Golden Sands is amazing. I want that track, and I want it bad!

Yeah, Orbital have often mentioned the influence of the Radiophonic Workshop on their work, and they obviously covered the Doctor Who theme in 2001. The Workshop used to compose lots of trippy electronic themes for British TV back in the 60s and 70s, and Paul Hartnoll reckons they influenced a whole generation of musicians. To think it was all done without even synthesisers is incredible.

pretty interesting. me thinks this thread would be incomplete without one of my favorite tracks.
