i'm a huge fan of deadmau5's production but his mixes need some more variety. the mix he put out for mixmag was all his own tracks too. i already have those, i want to hear some new things. |
ARE YOU FOR ING REAL????
I love electronic music to death, but my beef has ALWAYS been some ing dj being glorified for playing music SOMEONE ELSE HAS MADE!!!
ING AWESOME on Deadmau5 for being able to put out many mixes with music soley created by the man himself!!! How many other Esstential Mixes have been put out with a tracklist created purly by the artist mixing the tracks? please name a few?...cause I can't.
The essential mix has became the pinical of who's who on the global dj ciruit....yet most of the mixes contain majority of music produced by arists other than the dj that created the mix...It's almost the same as me becoming famous for panting pictures that Picasso painted.
Good on deadmau5 for pulling up his socks and firing bullets!! Enjoy the artist for what he created, and even enjoy it more that it's released FOR FREE!
my half drunken rant/beef is now offically ended lol:tongue3 |

I kinda miss that deadmau5 sound too :( alla-->inside out, cherry twist, community funk and reward is cheese...that kind of is still wicked! this Jaded/not exactly/faxing burlin sound is dance music for Emo kids that like to hug their pillows....quality music, but just not really for me.
the electro (in general) thats been coming out recently is same old same old....but he always sounded interesting and exciting. |

Haha what... so when they gave Mylo his Essential Mix, he wasn't supposed to mix in Drop The Pressure because other DJs were already playing it to death?
If all deadmau5 were producing were the "raw electro" tracks I wouldn't have had any interest in him. The main reason I take this guy seriously is because he's proven he can put together real harmonies and not just annoying bits and pieces of farty electro sounds.
Fine, none of us want to hear an entire set full of anthems, and that's why he split it up. It sounds like a very reasonable proposition to me. I really wish that the twanged-out techelectrodirtytribalminimal nuts could learn to shut the up and stop whining every time they hear an actual chord, same way the rest of us suck it up when we hear yet another 8 minute drumloop with random types of noise superimposed. |

I would have to say that for the last year or so it has been fairly common to see trasklists highly populated by original production.
Just a couple weeks ago Booka Shade broadcasted their em featuring only original production. |

Can anyone help me out and tell me how to download this set rather than stream it on the bbc site with real audio player. |

their live performance was all their own songs, but thir dj set only had a couple tracks.
Yeah, pretty much every essential mix contains some songs from the dj thats doing the mix....some more than other, and some you could even say it's "highly populated". My question was How many other Esstential Mixes have been put out with a tracklist created entirely by the artist mixing the tracks? |
