| Anybody here have XM or Sirius? If so, are there any channels that play decent trance and is it worth the price of admission? |

| they will merge rather soon, so his coversation is rhetorical, trance/progressive channels, area 38 on sirius and the system on XM, sirius has oakie and pvd, xm has tisto and armin, like I said this will change soon when both merge. The future is wifi, your internet stations will be available in your car, and entire cities will be "hot zones" non stop high speed access, so plan on listening to Di, AH, and ETN a whole lot in the very near future |

I have Sirius.
Area 33 (renamed Area 38 just a week or so ago) and this other one I think its called Boomboxare the only edm channels on sirius. Not to mention Sirius has Radio 1 !!!
I don't listen to the Boombox (chan 39) but I listen to Area 38 quite a bit and my review is this.
They have A LOT of good shows. They've got two big shows Vonyc sessions and Perfecto on Tour. Stonebridge has a show on there that's pretty wicked. There is a lot of hidden talent on here for sure, I've heard a lot of djs play that I've never heard before that rip with nice sets. Denny Tstteos for eg. Ivano Bellini has a show that is called music for the people, usually minimal stuff. Although he plays WICKED tracks. They usually cover big events (WMC was covered for eg) and when they are not playing sets (live or recorded) they usually play very recent trance and prog. And some old stuff. Great channel.
Never tuned into the Boombox one but it's mostly breaks from what I've listened to.
In short, Area 38 is VERY impressive. I've almost considered buying TWO subscriptions, one for my car and one for my computer at home so I can just pretty much rip the channel 24-7, they have some great content.
