Neone been to or have any advice towards what to hit up for the nightlife in Playa del Carmen/ Cozumel, Mexico (saw some cool clubs, but I'm pretty sure theres no Trance scene there)....goin there for a week on Wednesday and any advice would be most benificial :happy2:

In Playa del Carmen I would recommend trying Blue Parrot, Coco Maya or Bali Club for more house/prog music. Cielo looks really cool, but I have yet to try that place out. La Santanera is probably the best club though but you'll mostly find minimal/techno there. They're all right next to eachother on 5th ave.

I love the clubs and vibe in Playa! You're gonna have a blast dude. As Keryn said, Blue Parrot, Coco Maya, and Cielo are awesome clubs. Blue Parrot is HUGE......at Coco everybody is dancing in the sand so be prepared to take your shoes off. Cielo is small like the one here in NYC but a little more "underground" feeling.

May I also suggest going on one of the ATV tours in the jungle....... is awesome....just watch out for the bees! ;)

Wow, thx for the great feedback, itll help alot im sure. Cant wait to go and glad to hear it should be fantastic time -too bad Tropical Storm Dolly is rollin right through there now and we should just catch the end of it. Its predicting scattered showers the entire time were there, but whats the general weather like down there (i.e. does it resemble Florida, basically raining everyday just for a bit...?)
Keryn
It definitely doesn't rain nearly as much as Florida. When I was there a few weeks ago they called for rain every day and we didn't get any so there is a good chance you won't either! It is hot as hell but I'm sure that's what you were planning on.

Yeah haha figured its hott as hell, and I have been to Cozumel before, but glad to hear we most likely won't encounter a ton of bad weather Def gonna check the ATV tour, catamaran snorkel expedition, and maybe do a little skydiving  any suggestions on what companies to go w/?

I wanted to go snorkeling when we were there but didn't have enough time.......we did have a very close encounter with a baby whale shark while we were on a fishing boat......one of the best experiences in my life!

Have a blast dude!

Looks like theres alot to do and were staying right on the beach 1/2 block from 5th Ave. so it should be a good time

Playa was incredible:happy2: :happy2:
Basically did everything we could possibly do including tons of snorkelling, catamaran charters, XA HEL eco park (Insane deal, 70$ for an all day pass including transportation, all u can eat buffet and open bar for like 8 hrs!!)cruized Cozumel by scooter and jeep, and even swam with dolphins! We basiaclly went out every nite as well and the club/bar scene has something for everyone:

Blue Parrot- Great fire dancer show, on the beach club, prolly the most popular club in the area
Coco Mayo- Huge outdoor club with amazing cabanna bed style beach access
Bali Club- Only actual enclosed and cover charged club we went to but still a good time
El Cielo- Prolly my favorite spot, good tunes, 2nd story open air balcony and inside room as well. Reminded me of an MIA style venue, all white and blue furniture and room

The only problem was that our condo was right the f' next to an after hours club, which was cool the one sunday morning I checked it out but pounding bass every morning from 6am-10pm got real old real quick :whip:

Otherwise everythings reasonably priced and accessible by foot so no need to rent a vehicle, I fully reccomend this vaca spot to anyone, Ill be back there next year im sure :tongue2 (Ill post a few pics soon)
