Thanks!!!

I should have it done by the weekend.

EDIT: Does the bassline sound off-key? I think I need to raise it a step or two.

It doesn't really sound off key. But I would add a little to that layer. The current state sounds a little G&D 2003. But, I like the track nonetheless. Good job.

Now go back to your hole.

What do you mean by a little to the layer? It just seems off to me for some reason. I only added percussion to it and used some phaser on the main riff, so the G&D sound belongs to Senor Reznor. I just screwed and chopped it.

Ah, I see. I haven't heard the original version of the track, so I didn't know what was your production. My thought would be to add a little bit more of a bassline to the track. I thought the guitar riffs and bass were yours. I would add to that, IMO.

EDIT>>> Or what sounds like a bass guitar in the track.

I think I see what you're saying. I'll try to layer the tracks and thicken up one of them.

PS. Suck it.

Needs more cowbell. Just kidding about to listen to it here in a minute. I'll let you know what I think.

The kick could be a little more definied perhaps a little sidechain to get that pump. Maybe layer the bass a little more. I have it turned up but it isn't shaking my walls.

Be careful though because you don't want to drown out the vocals.

A little tom fill with a crash every 8 bars could work perhaps switch from hats to ride somewhere to mix it up a bit. Kinda like a live drummer since there is guitar and bass etc...

I was thinking to double the bass line layer, cut out all the mid and high, then compress only the low and mid-low frequencies.

I haven't compressed the kick either, so that's a must when I get home.

The cymbal idea is good. I though to add some kick variations as well.

Thanks for the help guys. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go home and put some water in Dirk's mama's dish. Good evening.

hey, after filling it up would you mind holding your head in it? just a little while.

Cool. I'll see if I can think of any other ideas but it does sound fine right now. Just needs a little bit of variation and maybe mix it a few different ways to see what sounds best. Listening to some reference tracks right now to get a better idea and it isn't too far away from wall shaking.
