back on topic, i used to think the idea was bull when i was younger, but i've come to the realization that it's the "inside that counts" or whatever. mainly because of previous experience with females- the ones i think are attractive immediately are usually ****s, and the ones that i may not find that attractive at first (for whatever reason) but have a great personality i end up becoming attracted to. they even seem more physically attractive because of it.
of course if they're absolutely disgusting, nothing will convince me to become attracted otherwise, and tbh i probably wouldn't give them enough attention or time to get a feel for their personality in the first place. |

The psychological concept would be to make yourself feel better. Think about the all people who are in worst situation than you. This concept only applies on certain unexpected situations.
