I happened to catch this last night, and my god, what an AWFUL movie. Truly awful. I remember seeing previews back last fall, full of action, ass kicking, and Monica Belluci. What more could a man ask for? Everything seemed perfect.

Not so much. Perhaps the movie was supposed to be preposterous...okay. Or maybe the corniness/ridiculousness was for comedic effect...okay. Doesn't change the fact that this movie was so far beyond absurd that I'm surprised I made it all the way through.

But of course, one thing that did not disappoint...

...which it made it, well, a little more worth it. Still, celluloid trash at it's finest. Who has experienced this cinematic abomination?

i actually liked the movie, it was fun while it lasted, pure entertainment but as meaningless as a roller coaster ride

But seriously, I can't stand to go a day without showering. In the morning, it's like my coffee; I need it to wake myself up and get going. I don't like coffee, so without showers, I'd be one pissed mother******.

Ya know, the movie has a majority of the critics liking it on rottentomatoes.com. That's why I believed I either missed the point, or was not in the right mood to watch it.

And yet when I think back to some of the scenes, I just don't see myself thinking different from my original opinion. Like the skydiving scene for example, it's like they didn't even try. The CG was so god-awful that I thought I may have been watching a live version of imaginationland.

And I understand that many action movies prominently feature the 200000 bad guys unable to shoot the 1 good guy, but this movie took that theory, exponentially multiplied it, king sized it, then big-banged it beyond what our universe is today; I cannot believe the aim these terrorists have. Or the fact that several scenes feature baddies that don't even shoot at the hero in the first place. It's impossible for me to not gripe about these ridiculous traits this movie has.

exactly...just a good funny action movie.

I think I mistook the 'funny' with 'stupid as .'

So random.

Monica Bellucci is hot. I still need to see Irreversible, in which she gets her kit off for a hardcore rape scene. I've heard it's a great movie regardless of Belucci boobies.

That was the movie that made me swear off anything but gigantic blockbusters for theater visits. What I thought would be a nice, fun, over-the-top action movie turned out to be a 'meh' hour & a half with a 'side' of political bull that covered the entire plate. I hate when people say this, but I actually did think about just walking out.
